Waste Not...
I decided to try my hand at creating a band from the off cuts of my Moonah pieces. Primarily I did this to sharpen my soldering skills, including the prep work required for a good join. Once I'd successfully joined two pieces together and began planishing I realised this plain band was going to have a gorgeous profile texture just like the seed pod rings. So I paired it up and decided to give the pod ring a coarser finish, just to mix it up and add a bit of contrast. I think they make a beautiful pair!
Instead of cursing the extra silver I'm grateful to have it to play with...texture intact. I had fun with it anyway!
